On March 31st, the 28thworkshop on “Training on Frontier Development of Medical Science and Technology” offered by the “Training Program for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development” was started Yanta Campus of Xi’an Jiaotong University, organized by XJTU and the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (IKCEST) under the Auspices of UNESCO. There are 44 foreign undergraduate students from Xi’an Jiaotong University registered for the workshop. They are from the countries along the Silk Road including Pakistan, Ghana, Turkey, etc.
This workshop was taught in English focusing on the topic of “Approach to Charming Chemical Engineering”. The workshop included such contents as A Magic Journey in Gynecology & Obstetrics, Minimal Invasive Laparoscopic and Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Surgeries in Urology, Opportunity and Challenge in Era of Molecular Medicine, Introduction to analyzing medical data, The Trend of Infectious Diseases Control and Prevention along the Silk Road and Appreciation of Chinese Traditional Culture and Experience of Paper-cutting. And we also visit toXi'an international land port Investment Development Group Limited Company.
Lectures and interactions between the courses allow foreign students who participate in the program to learn knowledge and make the class interesting.
Now, there have been 28 training programs for Silk Road engineering science and technology development, which have cultivated more than 2,000 foreign students and export-oriented staff from more than 90 countries. As an important mission of the sub-center of IKCEST, this training program plays an important role in cultivating talents and promoting "One Belt and One Road Initiative". In the meantime, it is also exploring the development direction for projects initiated by XJTU, such as University Alliance of the New Silk Road and Silk Road Academy.
