On the morning of June 11th, President Ronnie Green of University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Confucius Institute delegation arrived in Xi'an Jiaotong University for a five-day visit and attened IKCEST Silk road Technological and Scientific development training. On the morning of June 11th, President Wang Shuguo of Xi'an Jiaotong University met with the guests in Xuan Huai Hall. Professor Shan Wenhua, President Assistant and Dean of the Institute of International Education, and representatives from other relevant departments attended the meeting.

After a warm welcoming speech, President Wang Shuguo encouraged the young generation to have more multicultural learning and communication, which will benefit their growth and development. He also encourage young people to study overseas to expand their horizons if possible. President Ronnie Green thought highly of President Wang Shuguo's speech and wished to continue further communication and cooperation between the two universities by using the platform of Confucius Institute built by the joint effort of the two universities.

The delegation from University of Nebraska-Lincoln stayed in Xi'an Jiaotong University for 5 days and took part in all kinds of activities. All the activities were sponsored by NOCFL and Confucius School headquarter, and hosted by IKCEST Silk road Training Center, School of Continuing Education, and School of International Education of Xi'an Jiaotong University. All the activities aimed to introduce to the foreign guests the long history of China and its rapid development today, which will lay better foundation for further educational communication between China and U.S. Local congress representatives from Nebraska State, primary and middle school principals and superintendents from Nebraska state, president assistant of University of Nebraska-Lincoln, dean of the School of Media all attended these activities.

During the special program of training, the delegation attended lectures about China's economy introduction, education in China, introduction to China etc. Besides these lectures, the delegation also visited Terra-cotta Warriors, Shaanxi Museum of History and other historical sites to experience the long history of China. The delegation also visited Shaanxi Blower Group Co., Ltd., National Engineering Research Center of Rapid Manufacturing. All these visits further strengthened their knowledge and impression about IKCEST Silk road training Center. When concluding this five-day visit, president Ronnie Green hope to launch more programs of cooperation with the joint effort of both sides.
