The 53rd IKCEST Training Programme for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development themed on Innovative Training on Application of IOT Theory and Practice was held in Xingqing Campus of Xi’an Jiaotong University from May 13th to 24th. It was co-hosted by the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (IKCEST) under the Auspices of UNESCO and Xi’an Jiaotong University, and organized by IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. A total of 135 foreign undergraduate students from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an Shiyou University and Xidian University registered for the workshop. They were from over 18 Belt-road countries, such as Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Ethiopia etc.
The training programme lasted for about 10 days, and the following lectures such as Smart Device and System for Internet of Things, Explain the Answer Skill and Typical Questions for HSK 3, Introduction of Test-taking Skills for HSK 4, The Internet of Things and Smarter Life, Big Data Processing and Deep-learning, Internet of Things and Wireless Communication, Historical and Economic Background of Silk Road Economic Belt, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence were given by the experienced professors in Xi’an Jiaotong University. The teachers gave clear, vivid examples to make the topics deep-going but easy to understand. The students benefited a lot from it and discussed with the teacher after the lectures.
In addition, in order to deepen the students' understanding of IOT development, the training set up a technical visit that is closely related to the courses. On the afternoon of May 23rd over 30 foreign students were led to visit Chinasoft International (CSI).
