On May 9, a delegation from the Department of Development Planning and the Office of Information Governance of East China Normal University visited Xi'an Jiaotong University for research. The two sides held in-depth exchanges centering on data-driven university governance. Technical engineers and relevant business principals of the University Cyberspace Affairs Center attended the forum.

Xu Mo, Deputy Director of the Cyberspace Affairs Center, extended a warm welcome to the delegation from East China Normal University. Centered on the core concept of "unified ledger of campus data", she systematically elaborated on the university's overall layout, practical approaches and phased achievements in establishing the data governance system and advancing digital campus development. She noted that in the field of data governance, the university consistently takes "data empowerment" as the guiding direction and "construction driven by practical application" as the working approach. It continuously deepens full-life-cycle data governance, breaks down data silos, and unlocks the value of data elements. These efforts serve to consolidate a solid data foundation and provide robust support for the high-quality development of all institutional undertakings including talent cultivation, scientific research, administrative services and more.

Relevant persons-in-charge of the Network and Information Center gave an on-site demonstration of core business systems, and highlighted the results of digital empowerment achieved by Xi'an Jiaotong University in talent cultivation, teaching administration, intelligent services, online service handling and other sectors with data as the underlying foundation.

The two sides had in-depth exchanges covering data governance, data collection, data submission, discipline profiling and other topics. They shared ideas on digital transformation and exchanged experience based on respective practices, offering valuable references for follow-up work of both universities.

The research delegation from East China Normal University all agreed that this visit was highly rewarding and enlightening. Xi'an Jiaotong University's practical experience in data-driven governance and digital campus construction was of great reference significance, providing important and useful insights for advancing relevant work at East China Normal University.
