Recently, a delegation led by Li Xianglong, Director of the Office of Informatization Management and Planning, and Xu Lingxiang, Director of the Graduate Administration Office of the Graduate School, Northeast Normal University, visited Xi'an Jiaotong University for research. The two sides held special seminars focusing on top-level informatization planning, digital infrastructure development, data governance and application, informatization for teaching and research, integrated implementation of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity governance, as well as fund and talent support. Relevant principals and key staff from the Network and Information Center of Xi'an Jiaotong University attended the forum.
Suo Zhihai, Director of the Network and Information Center, extended a warm welcome to the research team from Northeast Normal University. He provided a detailed overview of the university's overall progress in digital and intelligent transformation, sharing insights into the institution's commitment to prioritizing top-level planning. This approach involves coordinating the layout of the "15th Five-Year Plan" for information technology development, anchoring development goals, refining key tasks, and guiding the high-quality advancement of campus-wide informatization through systematic planning.
The university is supported by an integrated digital foundation of "network, cloud, data, computing, and application," deeply focusing on data governance. It integrates big data into various aspects such as classroom quality monitoring, student management, and employment analysis, and has established a full-process smart teaching platform—Siyuan Academy 2.0. Relying on unified computing power and cloud platforms, it has built a comprehensive scientific research information service support system. The school independently developed the "Jiao Xiaozhi" AI innovation platform, creating a campus-wide intelligent ecosystem where teachers and students collaborate and coverage extends across all domains. It aims to provide a convenient service experience of "handling affairs with one sentence," continuously streamlining processes and enhancing the warmth of services.
The research team from Northeast Normal University highly commended Xi'an Jiaotong University for its solid achievements in the overall layout of information technology, digital infrastructure construction, data governance applications, AI scenario implementation, and cybersecurity system development. These efforts have provided valuable experience and an excellent model for peer institutions in advancing the digital transformation of education.
This research has established a robust bridge for mutual learning and exchange between the two institutions regarding their information technology and cybersecurity initiatives. Moving forward, both universities will establish a sustained communication mechanism to share development achievements, jointly address challenges in cyberspace governance, collaboratively explore new models for digital and intelligent development, and collectively enhance the quality of university informatization governance capabilities and educational excellence.
