On the afternoon of April 16, a delegation led by Zhang Jianbing, Director of the Information Construction Management and Service Center of Nanjing University, conducted a special research on information construction and the empowerment of education digital transformation by artificial intelligence. Members of the leadership team of the Network and Information Center of Xi'an Jiaotong University participated in the research.
Suo Zhihai, Director of the Network and Information Center at Xi'an Jiaotong University, extended a warm welcome to the research team from Nanjing University. He provided a brief overview of the university's digital and intelligent transformation, with a particular focus on its active exploration of empowering educational digital transformation through artificial intelligence. He noted that the university relies on an integrated digital foundation of "network, cloud, data, computing, and applications" to comprehensively advance educational digital transformation, achieving phased results in leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance teaching, research, management, and services. The university is committed to building a domestically integrated computing power platform to strengthen the foundation for AI innovation and development. Platforms such as "Jiaoxiaozhi" and the AI assistant "Jiaoxiaozhu" have been developed to foster a campus-wide AI ecosystem that encourages collaboration between teachers and students. Efforts are also being made to deepen the implementation of intelligent applications, creating a "one-sentence service" experience and introducing 13 AI toolkits, including AI writing, translation, and contract review, to genuinely serve faculty and students in their daily tasks, teaching, research, and management. At the same time, the university prioritizes self-reliance, security, and control, standardizing the safe use of OpenClaw and actively supporting students in independently developing the domestically produced intelligent agent OpenOcto. Through specialized demonstration training, the university is gradually exploring a path of educational digital transformation that embodies the characteristics of Jiaotong University, ensuring security, reliability, and practical efficiency.
Xu Mo, Deputy Director of the Network and Information Center, conducted a visual demonstration of systems such as the real-time monitoring big data platform for education and teaching quality, the one-stop community growth archive, the employment big data platform, "Jiaoxiaozhi," "Jiaoxiaozhu," and the "One-Network Service" system, vividly showcasing the innovative practices and application outcomes of the school's information technology services in talent cultivation.
The researchers acknowledged the significant achievements in the information technology development at Xi'an Jiaotong University. Zhang Jianbing stated that Xi'an Jiaotong University has deeply integrated artificial intelligence into the entire process of informatization, with systematic exploration in areas such as computing power infrastructure, intelligent platforms, scenario applications, and independent innovation. The advanced concepts and remarkable results provide a fresh and learnable example for universities to promote the deep integration of AI and educational digitization.
Both parties engaged in in-depth exchanges on key issues such as computing resource coordination, data governance, smart teaching, AI security applications, and the construction of internet information systems and mechanisms, reaching broad consensus.
This research exchange has established a high-quality platform for mutual learning and reference in the network and information work of the two universities, further deepening the exchange and cooperation in information construction between Xi'an Jiaotong University and Nanjing University.
