Xi'an Jiaotong University held a specialized training session on the QR code-based repair reporting service
2025-01-02

To address the current issues in the university, such as the numerous service repair channels, multiple entry points, and a plethora of QR codes that have led to difficulties for users in finding, managing, and effectively using these codes, the Network Information Center, in collaboration with the Logistics Support Department, organized the "Xi'an Jiaotong University QR Code Repair Service Special Training Session" on the afternoon of December 30, leveraging the "XJTU Repair Reporting" platform. Over 50 staff members, including relevant unit leaders and maintenance personnel, registered for the event.

The "XJTU Repair Reporting" platform was officially launched in 2019. By leveraging information technology, the platform simplifies the traditional multi-level repair reporting process, providing users with a unified QR code scanning entry for reporting repairs and offering a unified service portal for management units. This achieves a streamlined, transparent, and efficient repair process, significantly enhancing the quality and efficiency of various repair services. Over the past five years, the platform has completed a total of 470,000 repair work orders, with the shortest completion time for a work order being 3 minutes. It has received high satisfaction ratings from both teachers and students.

At the meeting, Zhao Yunzhe, Director of the Comprehensive Office of the Logistics Support Department, stated that information technology plays a crucial role in empowering management services and serves as a key means for the university to achieve comprehensive digital transformation. Currently, the property service repair reporting at the IHarbour campus has been fully integrated into the "XJTU Repair" platform, enabling "one-code access." The platform will gradually add property repair services for the Xingqing, Yanta, and Qujiang campuses, with each being launched as it matures, ultimately achieving "one code for all four campuses of the university."

Liu Chen, a senior engineer from the Network Information Center, introduced the operational overview of the "XJTU Repair Reporting" platform since its launch in 2019. Using the IHarbour campus as an example, he provided a detailed explanation of the property repair service work model, repair service items, and service processes at the IHarbour campus. Additionally, he conducted on-site demonstrations and guidance for maintenance teams to handle user repair orders, covering the entire process from repair submission, work order assignment, maintenance response, and implementation to completion and service supervision. This helped attendees quickly adapt to the repair business handling procedures.

During the interactive session, participants engaged in in-depth discussions based on their daily practical work. For example, how to adjust work order scheduling methods during holidays and weekdays, whether to choose automatic assignment or team leader assignment, and the differences in permissions among various maintenance workers. Everyone unanimously agreed that the platform's scientifically designed intelligent task assignment and timeout warning mechanisms are of great significance for improving service quality and efficiency, which will greatly enhance the satisfaction of teachers and students.

The convening of this training session marks the official launch and trial operation of the QR code-based maintenance reporting service for the teaching area logistics at Xi'an Jiaotong University's Xingqing campus. In the future, the Network Information Center and the Logistics Support Department of Xi'an Jiaotong University will continue to explore the application of more intelligent management service tools, continuously optimize and enhance the management service efficiency of various departments, steadily advance the construction of a smart campus, and create a more convenient and efficient learning and living environment for both faculty and students.
