To ensure the stable and secure operation of the school's network during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, and to enhance the ability of secondary units within the school to prevent and mitigate cybersecurity risks, the school organized a special cybersecurity training session on the afternoon of September 26. The training invited Liu Chi, a first-class police officer from the Cybersecurity Brigade of Beilin Branch of the Public Security Bureau, as the keynote speaker. Chen Quan, deputy head of the Cybersecurity Brigade of the Beilin Branch of the Public Security Bureau, members of the school's cybersecurity and informatization work leadership group, and more than 110 cybersecurity administrators from over 60 secondary units attended the training.

Police Officer Liu Chi delivered a comprehensive and vivid special lecture titled "Cybersecurity for the People, Cybersecurity by the People—Safeguarding High-Quality Development with High-Quality Security" to the trainees. Starting with the fundamental concepts of cybersecurity, he explained its crucial role within the national overall security framework by referencing laws such as the Cybersecurity Law and the Data Security Law. He outlined the latest trends in cybersecurity both domestically and internationally, and used real-life cases from universities to illustrate practical procedures such as incident tracing, evidence preservation, and emergency reporting. The lecture focused on analyzing typical risks faced by universities, including phishing attacks, data breaches, and system vulnerabilities, along with corresponding preventive measures. And he guided the trainees in transforming security awareness into practical capabilities.

At the meeting, Liu Jun, Deputy Director of the Network Information Center, summarized the overview of cybersecurity work in the first half of 2025 and deployed cybersecurity tasks for the upcoming holiday period. He emphasized the need for all departments to strengthen duty arrangements, enhance security defenses, and ensure the prompt detection and handling of various harmful information.

The successful holding of this special training on cybersecurity has not only enhanced the cybersecurity awareness and protection capabilities of management personnel in various units, but also injected new momentum and vitality into the university's cybersecurity work. In the next step, the Network Information Center will continue to focus on weak links in cybersecurity, regularly conduct security drills and risk assessments, and continuously improve the cybersecurity management system and protection mechanisms, providing a solid security guarantee for the development of the university's various undertakings.
