In recent days, the 43rd session of Silk Road Special Training Program of Engineering and Technological Development sponsored by IKCEST and conducted by Xi’an Jiaotong University Silk Road Training Base was successfully held in Novosibirsk State University of Russia, with the help of Confucius Institute of Novosibirsk State University. Over 60 students and teachers from Novosibirsk State University attended the program.
This training program aroused great interest from the local Russian media. Russian version of the official website of Novosibirsk State, Russian version of Facebook, Russian version of Vkontakte, and official website of Novosibirsk State University etc. all reported this training program. The official website of Novosibirsk State University gave a detailed account of this program and the main contents of this training program. The news claimed that “this program aimed to strengthen mutual cooperation between China and Russia, and offered the Russian attendees an excellent chance to further understand China.”
By a strict attendance record, 80% of the trainees accomplished all the lectures and gained the Silk Road Special Training Certificates of Engineering and Technological development awarded jointly by IKCEST, XJTU and Confucius Institute of Novosibirsk State University.
The School of Continuing Education of Xi’an Jiaotong University has actively participated the One Belt One Road talents-cultivating mission of IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. By offering special training to young talents and elites from Belt-road countries, the School of Continuing Education helps to promote the economic prosperity and regional economic cooperation, while enhancing mutual learning between different cultures and civilization, which in return promotes the peaceful development in the world. Up to recently, 43 sessions of IKCEST Silk Road Special Training Programs of Engineering and Technological Development have been held within China, in Russia and Thailand, benefiting over 3000 trainees from 107 countries. This training program has well improved the international reputation of Xi’an Jiaotong University, enormously raising its international influence and charm, especially in the Belt-road countries.
