Seyed Javad Hosseini, Well-known Scholar & Alumnus of Chinese Culture Studies Visiting IKCEST Silk Road Training Base
On May 22th, Seyed Javad Hosseini, well-known scholar & alumnus of Chinese culture studies, the Persian translator of Sun Tzu's Art of War visited Xi'an Jiaotong University and had a talk with He Changzhong, director of the Department of International Cooperation & Exchange in Room 115 of the Science Building. Representatives from IKCEST Silk Road Training Base, School of International Education and School of Management attended the meeting.
Director He from the Department of International Cooperation & Exchange extended his warm welcome to Seyed Javad Hosseini for his return to his alma mater and pointed out that Xi’an Jiaotong University was proud of Seyed Javad Hosseini. During the meeting, director He Changzhong briefed on the development of the Silk Road University Alliance. He hoped that Seyed Javad Hosseini would make efforts to promote cooperation between Iranian universities and Xi'an Jiaotong University in management disciplines, medical fields, AI technology etc. to contribute to the development of educational cooperation between the China and Iran.
Seyed Javad Hosseini made a brief introduction to the universities in Iran, and talked about the “people-to-people bond” advocated by the Belt and Road Initiative. He also expressed his hope that Xi'an Jiaotong University will give full play to its advantages and leading role of higher education and jointly built a platform to bring Chinese traditional culture, Chinese thought, Chinese experience and China plan to Iran to promote mutual learning and development between Iran universities and Xi'an Jiao Tong University.
Chen Shuxuan, project manager of IKCEST Silk Road Training Base, introduced the background and training courses of IKCEST Silk Road Training Base and had a discussion with Seyed Javad Hosseini on possible training topics for cooperation between the two sides. Ms. Chen expressed her hope that IKCEST Silk Training Base would establish cooperation with Iranian universities in on-line and off-line education in the future, commit to cultivating talents along Belt-road countries, promote cultural, technological and educational exchanges between Iran and China, and contribute to social development along the Belt-road countries.
This meeting laid an important foundation for the development of IKCEST Silk Road Training Base in Middle Eastern countries. The IKCEST Silk Road Training Base will take this opportunity to promote the development of IKCEST Training Programme for Engineering Science and Technology Development on the global scale continuously, pay more attention to the training of Middle Eastern talents, and explore a development path of talent cultivation for the Belt and Road Initiative.
